A day in the life of a Mexican

It wasn’t on purpose - really!!!!!

So I am alone at home with one of my sisters last week.   While I was getting ready to take a shower, she was telling me about her plans for the day, and that she’ll be leaving the house soon.

I hear the front door shut a minute later and my sister yells out - "bye - byyyyeee".  Right then her cell phone starts ringing.  I figured she forgot it, so I run downstairs in my underwear and a top, hoping I’ll catch her before she leaves.  I yell out one of the windows and wave her phone.  She’s probably blasting music inside my car, because she doesn’t hear me. 

What would you do now?  Probably open the front door and peek outside in hopes that she’ll hear you.  Right?  Well, that’s precisely what I did!

Except I wasn’t counting on our new puppy running in between my legs and going outside!  So now I have a ringing cell phone in my hand, no pants on, my sister is gone and our dog is running down the street. 

What did I do?  I ran after him in my underwear and a top !!!!!!!!!!!

I caught up with the dog at the end of our property and hopefully none of the neighbors saw me. 

Nonetheless, I think I learned my lesson.   :)

Not only do I NOT LOVE Raymond, I discovered today that I might not even LIKE Raymond!

I watched 10 minutes of the show and couldn’t stand it!!!!!!!!!  I have better things to do with my time…… which reminds me that I gotta run now!  Dinner with a great friend at a good restaurant!

Is that a sign that I should stop going???

I realized last night that some of my closest friends don’t know about my new found love:  VONAGE.   It’s actually not that new in my life, we have been together for more than a year now, but apparently i haven’t let the whole world know about my dear gadget/phone service!!!!!

Vonage is an IP phone, so it is connected to the internet.  The only difference between this phone and a regular one is that it plugs into a box, that is plugged into the PC.  Or something like that.  Other than that it’s a regular wireless phone, with voice mail options, block numer, has caller ID, etc.  PLUS this phone gives me UNLIMITED calls to the USA and CANADA for less than $30 US dollars a month!!!!!!!!!!!!  (That’s the plan I have, but there are others, which are cheaper)

And no, I am not a stockholder in Vonage world, just a happy camper that wants to share her joys with the world.  It is VERY convenient, reliable and CHEAP!  I use its services EVERY day, sometimes for several hours a day! 

And there’s MORE - as of this past week you can call Spain, UK, France, and a couple other countries in Europe for FREE as well!!!!

I bought a movie this evening. Stopped by Blockbuster after a long day, just wanted to rent a movie to watch.  While I was there browsing through their selection I read many interesting reviews on movies, but one of them caught my eye.  So I went ahead and bought it.  Cuddled up on my bed with a blanket and starting watching it, the movie is called - "My life without me". 

I only saw half of it before dozing off. 

And when I woke up, I continued to think about what I had just seen.  The movie is about a young girls’ last couple of months alive.  She is diagnosed with cancer, a tumor is mentioned, anyway, Anne decides to keep the news from those around her. It is interesting to see what she decides to do with her life now that she has received an ultimatum.

She sits down one day to write a list.  A list of things to do before she dies. I’m trying to come up with mine. It’s not as easy as I would have thought.

My list:

1) Fall in love

2) Publish a book, writings, thoughts, etc.

3) Clear any misunderstandings there might be with people

4) Thank those who have supported me (family, friends or even strangers)

5) Videotape of myself for my family to remember me by

6) Sleep outdoors, under the stars

7) Kiss a stranger

Get married

9) Give birth

10) Raise our children

11) Learn to paint better

12) Shed light on Lyme Disease

13) Run a 10k

14) Climb a mountain

15) Play the piano

16) Read the whole Bible, make notes on the side and leave it as a gift for my children

17) Have a garden filled with flowers (and a front porch)

18) Set up a scholarship fund

19) Ski again

20) Go to the Olympics opening ceremony

So little time and SO much to write about!
